The PEOPLE who will reside in the JTMT are 20,000 55+ years old PROFESSIONAL pensioners (not senior citizens or regular retirees) from various fields from Japan (80%), and other countries (20% including Thai), who already retired or close to be retired who plan to bring their professional knowledge to help with the development of Thailand by sharing their knowledge and know-how with locals and other Thai professionals by interacting with these people through volunteering, advising, coaching or mentoring or even working (part-time) in different types of social development projects based on the blueprint of the UN Agenda 21. These activities are planned by GCD. Through the support of GCD, these professionals will be encouraged to create their own club activities or volunteer projects that aim at making social contribution and knowledge transfer and sharing.
GCD also provides opportunity for non-pensioners who have retired from their work and are financially independent. We provide this group of residents the opportunity to enjoy their hobbies while residing in the Town. This group of residents can merely enjoy their hobbies and participate in our several club activities prepared by GCD. Should they plan to turn their hobbies into a second career or start-up business, GCD also provides them support to achieve their goals.
