THOMAS J. MCCABE

Special General Counsel, is a partner in the Wall Street law firm McCabe & Flynn, LLP, and has more than 30 years’ experience handling complex commercial, securities and financial matters.  Over three decades, he has represented a broad range of clients in the securities industry in investigations, proceedings, and arbitrations involving the SEC, FINRA, New York Stock Exchange, and American Stock Exchange. Mr. McCabe will serve as General Counsel and will work closely with the CEO and other senior executives in connection with GCD’s transition from a private to a public company. He is a graduate of Iona College and University College Dublin, and graduated cum laude from New York Law School in 1980.

JAROUNGPON HOONSIRI

has 30 years of experience in the development of Thailand‘s capital markets. As the Manager and Founder of the Association of Securities Companies (ASCO), she has been involved and worked closely with the stock-broker community in various market infrastructure development projects for the stock market in Thailand. ASCO has played a key role in moving the market from the physical settlement of stocks to scripless and dematerialization processes, turning the market from manual operation into automated trading and settlement and into electronic trading, as it is established today.  

In 1995, Jaroungpon was appointed by ASCO’s Board of Governors as the Project Manager to establish the secondary market for bond trading in Thailand. In 1997, she was appointed by the Office of the Securities Exchange Commission (the Thai SEC) as Member of the Executive Committee to transform the Thai Bond Dealer Club into the Thai Bond Dealing Centre and register it as the Bond Exchange Centre under the SEC Acts.

From 1987 to 2000, Jaroungpon has represented market organizations and sat in various development committees particularly of the Ministry of Finance, BoT, SEC, and SET.  Her unique experience and full involvement in this crucial sector has given her a deep understanding of Thai capital market development and how the market has evolved.  She has also developed strong connections and trust in the market with both regulators and market participants.

Jaroungpon joined the real sector business in 2002 and worked with two reputable commercial banks in the area of Securities and Custody Services. With her strong presence and influence in the market, she was elected as the Chairman of the Thai Custodian Club for six consecutive years until her retirement.

GCD’s Special Advisor team will include a top Japanese executive in marketing, PR, media, and branding who covers the Asian market, an Ex-Board of Investment Secretary General  from the Thai Government, a retired senior Japanese civil servant with top-level experience in Thai-Japanese economic relations and investment, and a risk management expert who has over 20 years of working experience with major investment banks in New York, Tokyo, and Singapore.
